Demerara Distillers Limited USA is an importer of several key spirits brands into the US such as El Dorado Rums and Diamond Reserve Rums.
DEMERARA DISTILLERS (EUROPE) BV
This subsidiary manages the marketing and distribution of all of DDL’s brands across Europe.
DEMERARA DISTILLERS (ST. KITTS & NEVIS) LIMITED
Demerara Distillers (St. Kitts – Nevis) Limited produces Belmont Estate, Cane Spirit Ritchmont (CSR) and Ivanoff Vodka along with private label, Brinley Gold Rums. It is also a distributor of El Dorado and Diamond Reserve Rums.
TROPICAL ORCHARD PRODUCTS LIMITED (TOPCO)
TOPCO was established in 1994. The acquisition of this company increased Demerara Distillers Limited‘s beverage portfolio.
In 2003, the company invested in a modern Tetrapak plant and began packaging fruit juices. Farmers benefit by providing fruits to be used in the fruit juices. The new Tetrapak plant also became the nucleus for the diversification into the production of dairy products, with the ultimate aim being to support the local dairy development through the collection and processing of fresh milk from dairy farmers.
DISTRIBUTION SERVICES LIMITED (DSL)
DSL was launched in 1993 as a distributor for leading Fast Moving Consumer Goods and quickly became one of the leading distributors in Guyana.
The company represents well known global brands such as Johnson and Johnson, Nestle, Energiser, Purex, Quaker and Dr. Fresh amongst many others. In 2000 DSL opened its first Cash and Carry outlet and now boasts 4 strategically located stores around Guyana.
DEMERARA SHIPPING COMPANY LIMITED (DSCL)
What started out as an agent for its parent company’s bulk vessels has now grown into Demerara Shipping Company Limited, a strong player in the Guyana shipping industry.
DSCL was incorporated on February 16th 1994 as a subsidiary of Demerara Distillers Limited. Initially, and soon after its incorporation, the Company acquired the agency rights for Europe Caribbean Lines (ECL)/Vertraco. Mediterranean Shipping subsequently appointed DSCL as their agents and the company has seen continued growth over the years. The Company has improved and upgraded its services over the years and is now a serious player in the industry. DSCL offers a full range of services backed by skilled, motivated and customer-oriented staff.
